Zignago Vetro acquires Italian Glass Moulds

Italy-based glassmaker Zignago Vetro has acquired 100% of glass industry molds specialist Italian Glass Moulds (IGM).

Headquartered in Portogruaro, Italy, IGM produces and sells molds for the glassmaking industry. It has been operational since 2020, after taking over mold producer Busellato Glass Moulds. In 2021 IGM posted sales of around €3m, around 20% of which comes from abroad. The company has a staff of some 40 employees.

“This acquisition is important as it is both a diversification from the group’s core business, but also in synergy with [our strategy],” Zignago Vetro CEO Roberto Cardini said in a statement.

The transaction was financed by Zignago Vetro.
