Spanish dropper specialist Virospack has created a new entity, Virospack Asia, as it seeks to work more closely with local Asian brands and develop its business in this fast-growing market. A sourcing center is in the pipeline, and a factory could be a medium-term goal.
Virospack, a Spain-based beauty packaging company, is aiming to expand its business in Asia with its newly minted company, Virospack Asia. The move, which will enable improved delivery times for its customers, comes as the company is looking to work more closely with local Asian brands and increase its business in the Asian continent. “We have a strong position as leader in Europe and US, and Asia is a market where we can expand,” Rosa Porras Mansilla, Virospack Marketing and Communication Manager tells Luxe Packaging Insight.
Virospack Asia currently consists of a sales office, with the company working to soon open a sourcing center, says Porras Mansilla. “In the medium term we could have a factory in Asia to really get a good position there and to further improve our service to international brands,” she reveals.
For the moment, however, production will continue to be located 100% in Spain - Virospack’s manufacturing facilities are near Barcelona, with output distributed globally. Specialized in droppers for cosmetics and personal care, the company produces more than 100 million droppers per year, and over 20 million bottles.
