Dutch fashion house Viktor & Rolf (L’Oréal) has launched Good Fortune, described as a "vegan eau de parfum". The refillable scent, topped with a facetted amethyst-colored cap, comes in a spherical flacon made with 15% recycled glass.
Good Fortune, the new fragrance from Viktor & Rolf, is inspired by the fashion brand’s Spiritual Glamour autumn/winter 2019-2020 haute couture collection. The EdP comes in a lacquered flacon shaped like a crystal ball resting on a gold plinth. Made of Pochet du Courval’s SEVA3 extra-flint glass with 15% recycled content, the bottle is screenprinted on the facing, while gold metallization (Decopak) was applied on the gadroons at the base. For the glassmaker, the flacon’s rounded interior and elongated base made ensuring perfect glass distribution a challenge.
The marbled cap (Albéa), designed to imitate an amethyst, is in Surlyn. Dyes were mixed in to create the background color and the veined effect.
For the accessory that decorates the collar, Oriol & Fontanel overmolded the recycled PP seal on a lurex cord that is placed directly into the injection mold. The elastic is then designed to appear as if the cord is wrapped around the gold galvanized PP collar (Albéa). The pump (Silgan Dispensing) can be unscrewed to refill the flacon using Techniplast’s RT-Twist refill system.
Good Fortune is nestled in a purple folding box (Autajon) decorated with gold hot-stamping, ribbon detail and the Viktor & Rolf seal.
The floral eau de parfum was composed by Anne Flipo and Nicolas Beaulieu (IFF). It blends notes of fennel and gentian distillate, jasmine and vanilla.
Launching on June 21st, Good Fortune is priced at €71 for 30ml, €104 for 50ml and €149 for 90ml. The 100ml refill, launching in August, costs €113.
