Verescence spotlights lightweighted glass bottles

Lightweighted glass bottles and new decoration effects were among the novelties presented by glassmaker Verescence at Paris Packaging Week.

Verescence chose Paris Packaging Week to unveil Gem and Moon, lightweight refillable bottles developed with design agency De Baschmakoff. The 100ml Moon bottle weighs just 106g. It has an off-center screw neck and is topped with a spherical, LegnaPin wood and cork cap from wooden components specialist Minelli.

More geometric in style, the Gem bottle weighs 97g for 100ml.

Verescence also presented a frosted decoration effect created using its Color’in technology - to decorate a bottle's interior walls - which the glassmaker says is particularly suited for eau fraiche fragrance formulas. Also on show were the results of a tactile decoration technique designed to recreate the look of a metal plate affixed to a fragrance bottle.
