Zafferano I is the latest addition to Storie Veneziane by Valmont’s fragrance offer. Like other scents in the collection, the primary packaging is characterized by a hand-blown Venetian mask that adorns the flacon’s facing.
Zafferano I, the seventh opus in Swiss company Valmont’s Storie Veneziane collection, pays homage to Venice’s first spice merchants, the Moors.
The extrait de parfum is housed in a square-shaped bespoke flacon (Premi Beauty Industries) that is metallized gold. A hand-blown glass mask crafted by a Murano master glassmaker and colored with pigments adorns the facing. The cap (Metapack) features saddle-stitched leather in a nod to Venice’s leatherworking tradition.
Zafferano I comes in a hinged coffret (Knoll Packaging) with angled opening made from recycled cardboard. The box is sheathed in gray faux suede, with Storie Veneziane hot-stamped in gold.
Billed as a spiced oriental, Zafferano I was created by independent perfumer Cécile Zarokian and blends notes of saffron, orange blossom and agarwood.
The fragrance launched this October and retails at €490 for 100ml.
