German packaging supplier Rissmann's recently launched festive beauty packaging includes e-commerce gift boxes for Valentino printed a deep black with a golden 3D décor, while for Yves Saint Laurent, the color scheme is black and metallic.
Valentino and Yves Saint Laurent Beauté (both in L’Oréal's portfolio) called on Rissmann for their end-of-year festive packaging. Valentino’s e-commerce gift boxes use an uncoated matte paper that is printed a deep black. The logo is the result of golden embossed studs done via multi-level gold transfer finishing. Gold hot-stamping is used for the brand name, while a glossy varnish is designed to enhance and protect the boxes.
Yves Saint Laurent's gift packaging was inspired by its “Indulge in Gold” campaign. Black tinted FSC paper was used for boxes, pouches, bags, envelopes and cards. The black YSL logo is embossed on a silver or gold hot-stamped rectangle, while metallic filigree stars and squares echo the patterns embossed on the black paper. The bag handles are in FSC-certified paper cord.
