The acquisition will expand TriMas’ footprint in beauty packaging, notably for cosmetics and fragrances caps and closures.
US-based TriMas has acquired Aarts Packaging, a Netherlands-based luxury packaging supplier with annual revenue of around €23m.
Aarts Packaging is specialized in high-volume injection molding and serves the cosmetics, food, medical and pharmaceutical sectors. In beauty, it produces caps and closures for fragrances and cosmetics. Its in-house finishing capabilities include decorative metallization.
Aarts Packaging will join Trimas Packaging’s portfolio of brands, which includes dispensing and closures specialists Rieke and Taplast.
“Aarts Packaging will work closely with TriMas Packaging’s Dispensing Systems team, adding several beauty-related products to our existing perfume sprayer product offering,” Fabio Salik, President of TriMas Packaging, said in a statement.
"The cross-border transaction enables Aarts Packaging to unlock new growth opportunities, while TriMas will add a variety of beauty packaging design solutions, strengthen its European footprint and bring in-house automation experience,” MP Corporate Finance, which advised the transaction, tells Formes de Luxe.
Aarts Packaging’s Managing Director and shareowner Rob Geurtz will continue in his current role following the acquisition.
