Torres Brandy’s Alta Luz Cristalino comes in a faceted glass bottle that takes its cues from the spirit’s name, which translates as “crystal light”.
Spanish brand Torres Brandy’s Alta Luz Cristalino is said to be the first cristalino brandy - a transparent variant of the spirit - made in Barcelona. The brand called on Italian design agency Robilant Associati for its visual identity.
The brandy’s bespoke, faceted bottle (Verallia Selective Line) boasts a contemporary design inspired by a raw crystal. It has a conical body, long neck and thick base. The extra-flint glass showcases the “virtually crystal clear” spirit. For the glassmaker, the faceted design with its well-defined edges proved a challenge, as did the large diameter, faceted neck. Verallia adapted a standard ring to the neck closure in line with the design agency’s vision.
The bottle sports a black label on the facing and is crowned with a tapered, matte-finish stopper (Guala Closures). Made of Guala’s patented Gravitas material, the stopper is embossed and has a standard non-refillable system to avoid counterfeiting.
