Swiszle looks to India for new Alpine Dry Gin

Recently launched premium spirits brand Swiszle has joined the thriving gin market with its latest launch, Swiszle Alpine Dry Gin. The matte-black bottle features a sharp copper cut-out with botanical accents that showcase the clear spirit inside.

Drawing on the Indian heritage of its founders, Swiss-based premium spirits brand Swiszle has launched its first gin. Dubbed Alpine Dry Gin, it blends Alpine flora of juniper berries, lavender, edelweiss and angelica root with exotic Indian spices.

The brand called on Polish glassmaker Dekorglass for the spirit’s design concept. The slender, elegant glass bottle – Dekorglass’ standard Roku model – features a curved, heavy-bottomed base and a decorative “ring” on the neck. A black matte lacquer adorns the top part of the bottle, with sharp, horizontal copper bands giving way to a transparent lower half. The brand name, logo and copper wrap-around bands were hot stamped for a metallized effect, taking their inspiration from the copper vats in which the gin is distilled. The flint part of the bottle is screenprinted with alpine herbs and juniper berries in an echo of the gin’s botanicals.

The gin’s closure is decorated to match the copper hue of the bottle’s décor – Dekorglass had to modify the bottle’s neck design to fit it with a cork stopper after supplier delays meant the original stopper could not be delivered on time.

Swiszle currently offers two products - Alpine Dry Gin and Williams with Bird’s Eye Chilli -and a second gin is set to launch this spring. Alpine Dry Gin retails at CHF50 ($53) for a 700ml bottle.
