French private equity firm Sparring Capital has acquired a majority stake in Pure Trade, French supper of luxury packaging and promotional products for cosmetics and fragrance.
Former investors Initiative et Finance and Isatis Capital have exited Pure Trade’s capital, with the remaining shares in the company held by Pure Trade’s management team.
Pure Trade plans to strengthen its position in the US, and according to CEO Stéfane Ladous and acquisitions are also on the cards. “We are counting on Sparring's expertise to accelerate our international expansion, pursue the professionalization of our organization and participate in the consolidation of the sector through external growth operations," he comments.
Created in 1996, Pure Trade says it has seen a growth rate of almost 20% per year for the past five years. In 2018, the company generated sales of more than €65m. The company employs a staff of 65.
