French artisanal soap producer Ciment unveiled its range of soaps created for the City of Paris and made locally at an event in the French capital earlier this month. The soaps’ geometric patterns and mosaic-like motifs are replicated on the product packaging.
Ciment’s soaps designed for the City of Paris center on the theme of “la fête”, or party, with picnic, bunting and 14th of July motifs. The brand works with French suppliers for its packaging. Vegetal wax paper envelopes the soaps, around which a slim piece of digitally printed card (Suisse Imprimerie) is wrapped. The coffrets (AK Emballages) are offset printed.
Cold-pressed, the soaps are made with oils sourced from organic farming and are colored with mineral pigments. The fragrances are said to be of natural orgin.
The range consists of three soaps: Guinguette, Pique-nique and 14 Juillet. Each individual soap retails at €10, while a coffret of four soaps costs €40.
Ciment Paris was founded in 2018. It handcrafts its soaps on-site at its boutique in Paris – the brand recently opened a second savonnnerie, in Bordeaux. Future plans include new soap lines and extending its range of oils.
