Niche fragrance brand Sillages Paris is making its primary packaging more sustainable. With this in mind, the brand has invested €30,000 to develop a 50ml screw ring flacon with glassmaker Stoelzle Masnières Parfumerie.
Sillages Paris, a young French brand specialized in online personalized fragrance creation, has revamped its 50ml fragrance bottle as part of its sustainability efforts. The cubic flacon (Stoelzle Masnières Parfumerie) integrates 45.6% PCR and PIR glass, while maintaining a crystal clear, premium appearance. The screw ring enables the flacon to be refilled by removing the pump (Albéa); the recyclable aluminum refill (Embelia) comes with a funnel to enable the consumer to refill the flacon.
Sillages Paris says it has invested €30,000 in developing the refillable flacon (the brand previously used a stock model from the same glassmaker). The bottles are made in accordance with the ISO 50001 norm that aims to significantly cut down on the amount of energy used during production. The brand has also changed how the flacons are decorated. It has forgone metallization and laser etching, and instead, an “S” is engraved on the base of the bottle and a UV lacquer is used.
In line with its sustainability efforts, Sillages Paris’ entire line (15ml and 50ml) is now refillable. The 50ml flacon costs €85, while the 100ml refill is priced at €105.
