Shiseido secures exclusivity for ID Scent’s Scentouch

Fragrance sampling specialist ID Scent has signed an exclusive partnership with Shiseido, giving the Japanese beauty group exclusive use of the supplier’s Scentouch fragrance sampling format throughout 2020.

Shiseido will be the first company to use Scentouch in a press campaign, with six million samples to mark the launch of Shiseido’s Narciso Rodriguez Eau de Parfum Ambrée scent to be distributed in more than 60 magazines across 20 countries.

Described as a “new fragrance gesture”, Scentouch is a patented, bottle-shaped fragrance sampler made of paper; the scent is impregnated onto the cellulose fibers via air compression. The consumer removes the cap to reveal the fragrance-impregnated applicator.

ID Scent says that Scentouch can reproduce a fragrance’s scent after several months or even years. Made in France, the sample is 100% recyclable as it contains neither aluminum nor plastic.
