French brand La Petite Madeleine, a newcomer to the niche personal-care market, has debuted with a line of cold-pressed soaps. Housed in FSC-certified boxes printed with botanical illustrations using plant-based inks, each of the five soaps features a fragrance created by perfumers from Firmenich.
Frisson de Vetiver, Pluie de Bergamotes… La Petite Madeleine’s soaps are cold pressed using artisanal techniques at the brand’s atelier in Troyes. The raw materials are sourced from certified organic producers, and each soap’s scent is created by a perfumer, with a head, heart and base note construction.
La Petite Madeleine called on Firmenich to come up with the scents: Fabrice Pellegrin and Marie Salamagne were behind Néroli des Lunes and Nue d’Iris, respectively. Julien Plos conceived Pluie de Bergamotes, Philippine Courtiere Sous le silence de la rose and Nicolas Bonneville created Frisson de Vetiver.
For the outer packs (Brodart Packaging), adorned with floral illustrations, chorine-free, FSC-certified paper from Fedrigoni is offset printed with plant-based inks and hot-stamped in black.
