CBD has found a home in the premium beauty sector with US brand Saint Jane. The company’s premium offer includes the Luxury Beauty Serum ($125 for 30ml), Luxury Body Serum ($58, 120ml) and Microdose Lip Gloss ($28). The brand name, a nod to both the 14thcentury saint dedicated to healing as well as to marijuana’s cheeky “Mary Jane” nickname, each product features full spectrum CBD and organic botanicals housed in ethereal packaging united by a bold floral motif.
Saint Jane’s signature matte black, glass dropper bottles are conceived to protect the integrity of the Serum’s photosensitive ingredients, while the bottles are spray finished and accented with a signature debossed gold metal plaque bearing the Saint Jane logo. The dropper formats come in paper canisters emblazoned with a rich, dark-toned floral theme.
The five-shade Microdose Lip Gloss range pairs eight antioxidant-rich ingredients with 50mg of pure CBD in a sheer squared tube that allows for visibility of formula shades. Black applicator caps feature debossed gold metal plaques tying the products to the Serum bottles.
Saint Jane Founder and CEO Casey Georgeson worked with Bahia Sommers, her longtime collaborator and Head of Design to create the brand's design aesthetic. “I wanted our Luxury Beauty Serum packaging to embody what I hoped the serum would make women feel: strong, confident and feminine,” Georgeson says. “The intention was to create something that elevates the daily routine, akin to a beautiful fragrance bottle on your vanity,” she concludes.
