Rochas (Interparfums) chose an eco-friendly approach and minimalist design for its new women’s scent Girl, launching this spring. The EdT is housed in a 40% PCR glass bottle and topped with a cap made from partly recycled plastic.
For its new fragrance Girl, Rochas sought to design an eco-friendly scent, from the juice to the packaging. The floral woody citrus fragrance - said to have a “90% natural origin formula” - was created by Anne Flipo (IFF) and contains notes of neroli, orange blossom and cedarwood.
Girl’s bottle is made of glassmaker Verescence’s Verre Infini that integrates 40% PCR while promising the same transparency and clarity as virgin glass. The bottle is decorated with a partial lacquer in almond green (Nigermat) – a water-based lacquer that contains just 5% solvents – and screenprinted black on the facing with the fragrance and brand name. “Spray Good, Feel Good” is pad printed on the shoulders.
The bottle is topped with a smooth, cylindrical cap in the same shade of almond green made from partly recycled plastic (VPI Faiveley Plast). Its box (Verpack) uses FSC-certified card and is offset printed in black.
Launching in France this March, the EdT is priced €49 for 40ml, €69 for 60ml and €89 for 100ml. A scented pencil, made from recycled plastic, retails for €19.
