Rochas’ latest fragrance Byzance Gold comes in the same bespoke flacon as its predecessor, but this time fully opaque thanks to a gold metallization.
French luxury fashion house Rochas (Interparfums) has added a new eau de parfum to its fragrance portfolio, Byzance Gold. The original Byzance bottle, created in 1987, was reworked in into the rounded, flat-sided flacon created for the relaunch of the Byzance range in 2019.
Designed by Paris-based design agency Objets de Convoitise, the bespoke bottle (Bormioli Luigi) is metallized gold for this latest launch. The text on the bottle’s facing is pad-printed in the brand’s signature shade of blue.
A single-piece zamak cap (TNT Global Manufacturing) with a coiled black ribbon at the base tops the bottle. Fitted with a PP insert, the cap is polished, e-coated in gold and embossed with the brand name. The ribbon is assembled mechanically without glue and finished with two brass tips.
The flacon is housed in a FSC-certified cardboard box (Edelmann) coated in silver metallic polyester film, colored gold and blue. Composed by perfumer Michel Almairac (Robertet), the fragrance blends notes of raspberry, lychee and black currant with rose, jasmine and patchouli.
Rochas’ Byzance Gold EdP launched in October 2022. It retails at €85 for 60ml and €115 for 90ml.
