Pusterla 1880 rebrands Pollard Boxes to Pusterla Pollards after acquisition

UK-based luxury packaging manufacturer Pollard Boxes has unveiled a new name and logo following its acquisition by Italy’s Pusterla 1880 earlier this year.

Rigid-box specialist Pollard Boxes has changed its name to Pusterla Pollards. Pusterla 1880 acquired Leicester-based Pollard Boxes, along with Clarke Rubicon, this March. The new entity encompasses Pollard Boxes, Clarke Rubicon and Pusterla UK; its brand identity and logo are designed to align it with Pusterla’s operations in mainland Europe. The Pollards reference remains, however, in a nod to Pollard Boxes’ 52 years of business.

“As a Pusterla company, we retain the family values that have been a key part of our own success over the years, while our enhanced product portfolio will enable us to continue to provide the most effective luxury packaging solutions for our customers, in particular combining creative designs with strong sustainability benefits,” comments Pollard Boxes Managing Director Mark Pollard. The luxury packaging supplier’s portfolio includes cartons, as well as multi-material boxes and tins.

With the acquisition of Pollard Boxes, Pusterla has expanded its footprint in the UK, reinforcing its design, development and manufacturing resources in the market.

The acquisition came hot on the heels of that of French packaging supplier Groupe Adine, announced in Feburary this year. The deal included Adine, reputed for its historic savoir-faire in premium coffrets and gift boxes, and Chiffoleau, an offset and digital printing specialist.
