Pusterla 1880 acquires Pollard Boxes

Hot on the heels of its acquisition of French luxury coffret manufacturer Groupe Adine last month, Italian packaging group Pusterla 1880 has purchased UK-based Pollard Boxes.

With the acquisition of luxury packaging company Pollard Boxes, part of Pollard Group, Pusterla 1880 will strengthen its premium rigid boxes offering and expand its design, development and production resources in the UK.

“This acquisition confirms our ambition for the UK market and reinforces our overall positioning in Europe,” commented Pusterla 1880 CEO Roberto Marini and CFO Luca Meana.

Leicester-based Pollard Boxes, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2019, is the largest manufacturer of rigid boxes in the UK, supplying the luxury drinks, beauty, personal care and games markets.

Last month, Pusterla 1880 announced the purchase of France’s Groupe Adine. The deal included Adine, reputed for its historic savoir-faire in premium coffrets and gift boxes, and offset and digital printing specialist Chiffoleau.
