Spanish closures specialist Pujolasos has launched a new wooden cap that “clicks” shut. Dubbed Woorigin, the patented, monomaterial solution destined for the beauty market is made of PEFC and FSC wood. Compatible with all collars, it closes hermetically, with its clip technology said to enhance the user experience.
A wooden insert shaped like an open ring opens and closes when in contact with the collar. When it meets the aluminium collar, a metallic sound is produced.
Over the past few years, Pujolasos has introduced three other wooden caps designed with sustainability in mind. Woodle is a wooden cap fitted with a disposable plastic inner to facilitate recycling, Woon is a glue-free wooden cap that works with a cork liner, mainly oriented to the skincare and food industries, Woork is a fragrance cap that uses cork instead of a plastic inner. Woork was used for Loewe’s Fragrance to Go, which won a Formes de Luxe Award last year.
