Puig chooses Taiki for Christian Louboutin's debut make-up brush line

The make-up brush collection launched by Christian Louboutin (Puig) this fall sports the luxury shoemaker’s iconic red hue and silver studs. A PMMA handle and ferrule combine with PBT bristles.

For its first make-up brush line under the Christian Louboutin license, Spanish group Puig called on supplier Taiki Cosmetics Europe. 3D printing was used during the prototyping phase before the injection molds were produced – ensuring perfect demolding of the silver spikes on the ferrule was a particular challenge.

The brush handles and ferrules are in PMMA. The handles are lacquered red and hot-stamped with the brand logo in silver. Injected in transparent PMMA, the ferrules are decorated via vacuum metallization. A protective varnish is applied before curing with UV lamps. PBT is used for the synthetic bristles.

Christian Louboutin’s make-up brush line includes a lip brush, complexion set (powder and blush) and three eye brushes. They come in boxes in the same signature red shade.
