For the first opus of a planned multi-spirit range, French spirits distillery Pegasus turned to Maison Linea for the branding and visual identity of Orion gin. Inspired by the grandeur of space and its constellations, it comes in a deep blue bottle with silver accents.
Coming from a family of winegrowers, the founder of Pegasus distillery ventured into spirits production in 2020 and launched the first premium gin earlier this year. Maison Linea was behind the branding and packaging development. Drawing inspiration from outer space, Hrastnik1860’s stock Jupiter bottle was sprayed deep blue and hot-stamped in silver with the brand’s logo. The thick-based bottle is characterized by its slightly conical shape and sharp-angled shoulders. It features a large crown diameter and elongated neck that are typical of the gin industry.
Printed on Avery Dennison’s textured Fasson stock, the white belted label (Imprimerie Jacquelin) is decorated with minimalistic typography and embossing. In line with the spirit’s premium positioning, the brand opted for a wooden square-shaped stopper (Parramon Exportap) that is reminiscent of the form of the still used to distil the gin. The same bottle design, this time with a circular stopper (Setop), is also in the pipeline.
Orion Gin is made of organic botanicals from the Meursault region in France and boasts a subtle citrus aroma. It is priced at €45 for 50cl.
