Preparations are well underway for the next edition of Packaging Première and PCD Milan, a dual event dedicated to designers, brands and manufacturers of luxury packaging. Taking place from May 16th-18th, 2023 at Fieramilanocity, the show will focus on innovation, sustainability and design.
Italian luxury packaging trade show Packaging Première is gearing up for its fifth edition, with a strong focus on innovation, sustainability and creative design. After a first edition last year, PCD Milan will once again be held alongside Easyfairs-owned Packaging Première.
The joint event will explore the latest product innovations and trends in the luxury packaging sector through a program of round-table discussions and conferences. The three-day conference program includes sessions such as AI Designed Luxury Packaging - How Will the Future Look? moderated by packaging design specialist Evelio Mattos; Is Paper the New Gold of Beauty Packaging? and Luxury Vessel or a Keepsake Packaging for Beauty moderated by Eva Lagarde, Founder of re-sources.co; and Luxury Metaverse Experience with Guido Geminiani, CEO at Impersive.
The conference hall will also house the second edition of the Avant-Garde initiative, a project showcasing what is described as the most innovative, sustainable and unconventional packaging. Any packaging products, services or projects deemed to be innovative can enter the competition. Those projects shortlisted by the jury are exhibited in a dedicated area and presented in workshops. “The first edition of Avant-Garde gave us the chance to experience truly innovative projects: from 100% post-consumer recycled glass and smart packaging proposals specifically designed for e-commerce, to an eco-sustainable and 100% biodegradable cardboard made of recycled denim fibres. We are looking forward to discovering many innovations that will create an advantage for the environment and the society,” explained Pier Paolo Ponchia, Founder and Director of Packaging Première in a statement.
This year's show will include two exhibitor lounges dedicated to networking. The event’s Art Gallery project will also be featured this year, displaying artwork made of waste and recycled materials.
