Explorer Ultra Blue is the latest addition to Montblanc’s (Interparfums) Explorer franchise that launched in 2019. The luxury writing instruments brand’s in-house designer Marc Eisen is behind the packaging design.
New men’s eau de parfum Montblanc Explorer Ultra Blue is housed in the same cylindrical pack as the original Montblanc Explorer, but this time the color takes its cues from "the blue of nature". The brand’s rounded star emblem — a fixture on its Meisterstück pen— features prominently; in the base of the bottle, on the flacon’s facing and in the shape of the cap.
The thick-based cylindrical bottle (Bormioli Luigi) is wrapped in a protective blue sheath (Priminter), whose texture is meant to evoke the Saffiano leather used for Montblanc’s leather goods. Assembled by hand at Montblanc’s pelleteria in Florence, the sheath is adorned with the Montblanc emblem that is made in the brand’s workshops in Hamburg. A zamak cap with glossy white bronze finish (Meiyume, TNT Global Manufacturing) is engraved with the name of the fragrance line.
Composed by Olivier Pescheux, Jordi Fernandez and Antoine Maisondieu (Givaudan), Montblanc Explorer Ultra Blue blends notes of bergamot, citrus, pink peppercorn, marine accord and patchouli.
Launching mid-April in France, the EdP retails at €51 for 30ml, €68 for 60ml and €95 for 100ml.
