The third edition of the Mon Beau Déchet competition organized by the association Valesens is asking candidates to create new objects by combining paper offcuts with leather fibers.
French upcycling contest Mon Beau Déchet is asking candidates to give new life to two waste materials by creating objects designed for the home, leisure or mobility segments. These materials are Drop Paper paper offcuts supplied by Procédés Chénel, and leather fiber (shreds of leather and natural binders) from Nabore.
Inscriptions are open until June 30th. The competition, now in its third year, is open to artisans, artists, designers, recent graduates and students. Organized by Valesens, an association that valorises and promotes design and sensory technologies, it aims to raise awareness around preserving natural resources and the benefits of eco-design by upcycling for sustainable consumption.
