Notes of paradisone and neroli evoke water splashing on hot tiles; orange blossom and sambac jasmine bring to mind the scent-saturated warm air of Andalusia and a touch of vanilla surabsolute hints at gourmandise: with Solar Blossom, Alberto Morillas is unveiling his brand’s latest “olfactory snapshot”.
Solar Blossom is Mizensir’s 30th scent to join the collection of unisex eaux de parfums; each is composed to recreate the scent of a moment in the life of the master perfumer.
Like the Geneva-based brand’s other fragrances, Solar Blossom comes in a thick-based angular bottle (Coverpla) topped with a zamak cap (Metapack). The matte, finely embossed, engraved nickel silver plate is the work of Mill Luxe, while the pump and glossy gold pump cap are supplied by Silgan Dispensing. The sleeved box in textured cardboard is decorated with the emblematic M by Mizensir embossed and hot-stamped in gold.
While the current context doesn't exactly lend itself to long-distance travel, Mizensir is also launching its first refillable travel spray (Metapack) this month. The zamak on-the-go spray pack, which brings to mind a lipstick case, has a deep silver lacquered mirror effect. Alberto Morillas’ signature is engraved under the base, echoing the M on the cap. The fragrance bottle features an ebony-colored collar from Aptar, which also supplied the pump.
The travel spray, nestled in a case (DLCOM) lined with embossed and hot-stamped black fine paper with a matte film coating (Fedrigoni’s Tintoretto Crystal Salt 140g), encloses three refills: 8ml screen-printed bottles with a crimped ring (VTA France). The box’s sleeves (made from the same Tintoretto Crystal Salt paper, but in 340g) are printed and hot stamped by L'Œil Imprimerie. The high-density foam (DLCOM) inserts in white or black are also sheathed in Tintoretto Crystal Salt.
For the moment, just nine of the collection's best-selling fragrances will be available in the travel format.
