LegnaPin, a monomaterial wooden perfume cap, was on show at Italian wooden components manufacturer Minelli’s stand at Paris Packaging Week.
Minelli’s new patented LegnaPin fragrance cap made of wood and cork is said to be a "universal solution", meaning that unlike when using resin or plastic inserts, a new mold is not necessary for different cap diameters. The wooden cap features either one or three food-grade cork pins that, thanks to friction with the pump, ensures its fit to the bottle.
The cap has notably been used on the Moon bottle developed with glassmaker Verescence and designer De Baschmakoff that was launched at Paris Packaging Week.
Minelli also showed Legnavis, its plastic- and glue-free threaded wooden cap that can be combined with a sealing disk made of cork.
