For its LE GIN 3R, a gin made from Normandy apples, French fine foods specialist Maison Maréchal opted for a bottle in 100% PCR glass and a label that mimics embossed glass.
Maison Maréchal sourced the bottle and stopper for its LE GIN 3R from distributor Univerre, opting for Spanish glassmaker Estal’s Teo model from its Wild Glass range. The bottle is made from 100% PCR glass - which gives a slightly blue tint - and features slight imperfections on the surface, lending it a craft-like look.
A nod to the gin’s Norman origins, the bottle design boasts a medallion with a Viking symbol and a blue dragon on the facing. For the medallion (Label’Glass), the brand opted for a label that, due to its thickness, mimics embossed glass, while the dragon is a no-look label designed to imitate screenprinting, “but without the constraints,” explains Univerre.
The bottle is topped with a wooden stopper (Labrenta) and an overcap (Coliège Metalco Emballages) printed with the flag of Normandy.
