Mainetti Group is integrating CenturyBox into its Structural Packaging division to boost its capabilities in Northern Europe. Rebranded as CenturyBox Mainetti, the new unit is headed up by CenturyBox CEO Igor Fromont.
M&A activity in the secondary packaging segment continues apace into 2023 with the announcement that retail solutions provider Mainetti Group has purchased luxury packaging supplier CenturyBox Group.
The acquisition is part of Mainetti’s long-term strategy to “provide customers with a complete range of structural and flexible packaging solutions”, and will ramp up its capabilities to serve brands and retailers in Northern Europe. The new unit will operate as Centurybox Mainetti. Igor Fromont, CEO of Centurybox Group, will take on the role of Centurybox Mainetti General Manager.
Fromont tells Luxe Packaging Insight that the deal will “give CenturyBox access to the global logistic backbone of Mainetti in terms of product development, production, sales and logistics.” He adds: “As a specialist in complex cardboard luxury packaging, CenturyBox will be able to distribute its solutions at a much larger scale.”

CenturyBox was founded in Belgium in 1988. Mainetti's portfolio includes Structural Packaging, Flexible Packaging, Hangers and Accessories, Branding Solutions, and Intelligent (RFID) Solutions.
