The all-new London Packaging Week will open its doors next week, playing host to more than 170 suppliers across sectors including perfumes & cosmetics and wine & spirits. Conference sessions will cover topics including paper bottles, refill formats and transparency in the supply chain.

To be held at London Olympia on September 21st and 22nd, London Packaging Week will bring together four different events; Packaging Première for luxury packaging; PCD for perfume, cosmetics and personal care packaging; PLD dedicated to premium drinks packaging, and Food & Consumer Pack.

A range of luxury packaging innovations will be on show from the more than 170 exhibitors. These include:

Papermaker Fedrigoni’s Selected collection of papers for packaging;

Luxury packaging company BellaGiada’s Reborn certified 100% recycled leather;

The Cosmetic Spouted Pouch Filling solution from Fillcon said to cut down on plastic use by 70%;

Vetroplas’ flip-top cap in HDPE for its 24/410 bottle, and a TIM lid with new PP gasket/seal.

Borough Chrome Plating’s lightweight plastic components with metal plating for wines and spirits;

Personalized gifts specialist Proper Goose will highlight its new sub brand Bottled Goose, a digital glassware printer whose printing options include matte, gloss, and gradient effects.

Paper bottles, reuse and refill, sustainability and transparency are among the hot topics on the conference front, which promises a new seminar format with three dedicated stages.

On the Luxury Unboxed stage, speakers will explore the future of packaging across luxury fashion, retail, jewelry and fine foods. Amy Nelson Bennett, Co-CEO, Positive Luxury, will host the “A Positive future for Luxury: How Trust and Transparency create value,” session. And on the Beauty and Drinks Innovators stage, which will explore strategies, materials and technologies used to drive consumer engagement, Michael Nolte, SVP Creative Director, Beauty at trends agency Beauystreams will explore lifestyle shifts impacting beauty.
