For the packaging of its Révélation cuvée, Calvados purveyor Lecompte opted for a stock bottle adorned with a stone paper label and a screenprinted metal plate.
French brand Lecompte is marking its centenary this year with the launch of Révélation, a Pays d'Auge Calvados. The eaux-de-vie is housed in Saverglass’ Diva 70cl stock model. Mid-way between bottle and decanter, it has a base measuring 2cm and is decorated in a gradient black.
The wooden head cork stopper (Delage) is stamped with the Lecompte monogram in light gray, while the tin capsule, also a shade of gray, (Coliège Metalco) features the brand monogram in orange.
French designer Valérie Perreau conceived the bottle’s minimalist facing label that is made of stone paper (Impaks). Waterpoof, the gray label with orange border is pressed with the words “Centenary Anniversary". The label echoes the metal Lecompte shield higher up on the bottle that is screenprinted by PIM Industrie.
The Calvados comes with a booklet (Sofim) in a handmade cardboard coffret (Berth Packaging); the bottle’s label and metal plate are repeated on the lid. An orange band (Sofim) encircles the box.
Révelation retails at €99 for 70cl.
