L’Oréal-owned Lancôme teamed up with French lace and tulle specialist Sophie Hallette for three limited-edition products: a Valentine’s Day calendar, lipstick and fragrance.
Artisans at French maison Sophie Hallette - founded in 1887 and producing its lace and tulle in the traditional manufacturing bastions of Caudry and Calais - created bespoke lace for Lancôme around the brand’s iconic rose motif.
The specially created Leavers lace (made using perforated cards mounted on mechanical Jacquard looms) is reproduced on the limited-edition packs of Lancôme’s l’Absolu Rouge Intimatte lipstick, La Nuit Trésor Dentelle des Roses fragrance and Valentine’s Day calendar.
L’Absolu Rouge Intimatte
The lipstick tube of Lancôme’s l’Absolu Rouge Intimatte is adorned with the lace pattern in red, while the lipstick bullet has been engraved. Available in three shades, the lipstick is priced at €35.
Love Calendar La Nuit Tésor
Lancôme’s first Love Calendar (Pure Trade), is decorated with puffy UV-ink on the facing for a subtle tone-on-tone lace effect. The cardboard calendar that closes with an organza ribbon contains 14 doors to open during the run up to Valentine’s Day, housing miniature skincare, make-up and fragrance items.
La Nuit trésor Dentelle des Roses
With its notes of rose, raspberry and patchouli, La Nuit Trésor Dentelle des Roses is a new scent in Lancôme’s La Nuit Trésor franchise, created by perfumers Amandine Clerc-Marie, Honorine Blanc and Alexis Grugeon (Firmenich). Here, the lace motif created by Sophie Hallette is printed on the shoulders of the diamond-shaped flacon (Pochet du Courval, Bormioli Luigi). The limited-edition EdP retails at €59 for 20ml and €83 for 50ml.
