Lancôme opts for molded pulp pack for La Vie est Belle Domaine de La Rose

Lancôme (L’Oréal) has launched a limited-edition La Vie est Belle fragrance. The flacon is adored with a leaf-shaped RPET ribbon and has a monomaterial, molded pulp secondary pack.

La Vie est Belle Domaine de La Rose from L’Oréal-owned Lancôme is a limited-edition extrait de parfum. It comes in the fragrance franchise’s iconic thick-based flacon with ‘smile-shaped’ glass distribution. The neck of the bottle is accessorized with RPET leaf-shaped ‘wings’ (Oriol & Fontanel), which are screenprinted tone-on-tone in relief with GOTS-certified ink and adorned on the surface with a laser cut-out. The cap (Aptar Beauty + Home) is in surlyn.

James Cropper’s Colourform molded fiber is used for the secondary packaging, which hugs the contours of both the flacon and the ribbon. The thermoformed paper pack’s precise die-cut edges were made to contrast with the finely embossed rose petal detailing on the facing. The lettering is engraved in the mold. "We pushed the depth of the texture on the flower design emboss [to make it a] strong focal point and feature," comments Colourform Senior Designer Rowan Nowell. The pack's oversized patented clasp makes for a “crisp, snap closure with haptic feedback,” the supplier highlights.

La Vie est Belle Domaine de La Rose was composed by perfumers Anne Flipo and Dominique Ropion (IFF), who also created the original eau de parfum. It contains notes of centifolia rose, bergamot and pink pepper.

Launched in April, the 30ml Extrait de Parfum retails at €99.
