Spirits purveyor La Distillerie Generale (Pernod Ricard) has added two American whiskies to its portfolio. The packaging’s graphic identity mixes the aesthetic of old engravings with pop colors.
The two new US bourbons added to La Distillerie Generale’s line up are Rabbit Hole, a four-year-old 2017 single barrel bourbon, and Smooth Ambler, a six-year-old, 2016 single barrel bourbon.
The packaging, with its craft-style aesthetic, was designed by PBM Design Studio. Both the 18th century-inspired extra-white flint bottle (Hrastnik) and engraved beechwood stopper (Delage) are bespoke creations. The brightly-colored woven jacquard label (Neyret) features American symbols such as a mustang, and flora and fauna from where the spirits are crafted.
Rabbit Hole and Smooth Ambler are commercialized by La Maison du Whisky. They retail at €115 for 35cl.
