L’Oréal appoints Jacques Playe as Global Head of Packaging & Product Development

Jacques Playe succeeds Philippe Thuvien, who retired late last year. Playe has been with the group since 1990 when he joined the luxury division’s Lancôme brand as makeup and skincare packaging director. He went on to head up industrial operations at L’Oréal’s Gauchy fragrance production site in France. More recently, he spent eight years as Research & Innovation Chief Technology Officer for the instrumental and personalized cosmetics department.

“In keeping with the strategy we've already embarked upon, but also in the disruptive context of this new decade, L'Oréal's Packaging & Development teams are more ambitious than ever in the areas of sustainability, consumer experience and boosting products’ perceived value,” L’Oréal tells Luxe Packaging Insight.
