US-based secondary packaging supplier Knoll Packaging is opening a wholly owned production facility in the Philippines in January 2023.
Located near the port of Manila in a duty-free zone in the Philippines, Knoll Packaging's future production site, which will begin operations early next year, will cover 8,000m2. "This project is a continuation of our regionalization initiatives globally, gives us opportunities for cost containment, and full control of employee engagement in Asia [...]. With our automation and continued innovation, this [site] will establish our position for growth globally well into the future,” Knoll Packaging President and CEO Jeremy Cohen affirmed in a statement.
The site is said to be sustainably designed, with featues including a solar-paneled roof and a rainwater collection system.
This news comes just a few months after Knoll Packaging announced its partnership with Albertini Group allowing it to debut production in Europe.
