Four years after the launch of its Scandal women’s fragrance franchise, Jean Paul Gaultier (Puig) is rolling out a men’s version this summer, Scandal pour Homme. The refillable bottle – the screw ring complies with the market’s new Cetie standard – is topped with a crown-shaped zamak cap.
Scandal pour Homme, the new men’s EdT from Jean Paul Gaultier, is housed in a rectangular flacon with rounded shoulders (Pochet du Courval, Zignago Brosse). On the facing, an indent engraved in the mold is screenprinted gold (Pochet du Courval/Nigermat), revealing the fragrance name.
The crown-shaped, three-part zamak cap (TNT Global Manufacturing, Meiyume), studded at the base, features a gold galvanized e-coating with a bright red PP insert. The red velvet flocked box (Wauters, G Pack, Leca Graphics) has a double hot-stamped QR code on the back.
The fragrance comes with a glass refill; the neck of the flacon complies with the new screw ring standard developed by French association Cetie.
Created by Quentin Bisch, Christophe Raynaud and Natalie Cetto (Givaudan), the woody oriental EdT reveals notes of sage, tonka bean overdose and vetiver.
Launched on June 21, it retails at €75 for 50ml, €102 for 100ml and €119 for 150ml.
