Italiko debuts glitter-adorned spirits

Glitter was the effect of choice for Italian luxury spirits brand Italiko’s debut launches Il Gin and La Vodka. With a focus on local production, the brand chose Italy’s InDeco for the bottle decoration.

Founded in 2021, Italian distiller Italiko entered the luxury spirits market with Il Gin and La Vodka. Conceived by the brand’s founder Marco Stringaro, the packaging design aimed to showcase Italian savoir faire.

For both spirits, the brand opted for the 70cl Enzo standard bottle (Vetroelite) with its asymmetrical neck and sharp edges. In terms of decoration, the bottle features a glitter effect – silver for the Vodka and anthracite for the Gin – developed by Italian finishing specialist InDeco. The glitter is custom-made in terms of the particle size and color, resulting in a sparkling matte stone effect. An undercoat is applied before the glitter and is then hand finished with a protective varnish. The text is laser engraved onto the surface with a tone-on-tone effect. Each bottle is numbered.

Both spirits are topped with a bespoke wood and cork stopper (Supercap), and housed in opaque black cardboard boxes with silk-screen silver detailing (Carlagi Cartotecnica).

Il Gin combines 22 botanicals, with notes of blackberry, raspberry and fig taking center stage, while La Vodka is composed of two separate distillations. The range launched last year, with Il Gin retailing at €55, and La Vodka at €53.
