For the latest additions to its L’Eau de Issey fragrance franchise, Issey Miyake (Shiseido) opted for 20% PCR glass and wooden caps for the perfume's packaging. The vegan eaux de toilette intense were formulated with 85% ingredients of natural origin.
Some 30 years after introducing L’Eau d’Issey, Issey Miyake has expanded its iconic fragrance franchise with a new scent duo. The women’s fragrance, L’Eau d’Issey Eau & Magnolia Eau de Toilette Intense, blends notes of bergamot, magnolia and sandalwood accord, while men’s scent L’Eau d’Issey Eau & Cèdre Eau de Toilette Intense features cardamom, cedarwood and vetiver.
The lacquered and screenprinted flacons are made of glassmaker Verescence’s Verre Infini 20 glass grade that contains 20% PCR glass. The 50ml bottles are fitted with Aptar Beauty + Home’s VP4 pumps, while the pumps for the 100ml formats are supplied by Silgan Dispensing.
The fragrances’ iconic stoppers are revisited in wood. Supplier Quadpack, which won a Formes de Luxe award this year for the innovation, developed a monomaterial cap made of FSC-certified wood. Thanks to its ‘Solo Push’ interior rib pattern, the Woodacity cap clicks closed without requiring the addition of a plastic insert.
As for the secondary packaging, the folding boxes (Autajon) sport a sober and minimalist design. The coated cardboard is certified FSC Mix, and embellished with spot color printing and embossing. For the men’s fragrance, matte effects play on the white and green detailing, while for the women’s scent - housed in a box with a diamond-shaped base - matte white contrasts with a beige satin effect.
