Irresistible, the latest women’s fragrance from Givenchy, comes in a faceted glass bottle that reinterprets the prism, a hallmark of the LVMH-owned brand.
Givenchy worked with Paris-based design agency Cent Degrés to create a bottle that it deems to be “ultra-feminine, couture and bold, yet timeless,” the brand explains to Luxe Packaging Insight. The transparent glass bottle (Stoelzle) that highlights the pink juice within boasts a square shape with rounded shoulders. The flacon is screenprinted and adorned with a textured pink ribbon (Neyret) in a nod to Givenchy’s couture heritage.
The bottle presented several technical challenges, the brand explains, including the creation of the mold’s moveable shoulder portion to fit the metal plate; the precision needed to glue the plate was an additional feat. As was ensuring that the prism on the back of the bottle—designed to evoke Givenchy’s makeup packaging codes—was correctly printed.
The cap, with PP insert, collar and metal plate (Axilone), are in pink anodized metal. For the pump (Silgan Dispensing), Givenchy opted for the supplier’s Melodie Mystery model.
Irresistible Givenchy retails at €66 for 35ml EdP, €94 for 50ml EdP and €113 for 80ml EdP. The scent, with its notes of rose and blond wood, was created by IFF master perfumers Fanny Bal, Dominique Ropion and Anne Flipo.
