Uomo is the first men’s fragrance from Guess since the American fashion brand’s perfume licence was acquired by Inter Parfums Inc in 2018. The new EDT's packaging, blending tradition and modernity, takes inspiration from Italian architecture.
Guess has launched Uomo, its first men’s fragrance since it joined Inter Parfums Inc’s fragrance licence portfolio in 2018.
Designed in-house at Inter Parfums Inc, the bespoke, transparent bottle (Heinz Glas) draws inspiration from the pure lines of Italian neo-classical architecture. It has a heavy base and concave frame on the facing, with intricate, square-shaped facets on the sides. The sleek black label (MCC) is decorated with silver foil stamping encapsulated in resin, finished with alternating high-build gloss varnish and matte varnish.
The black, polymer-based shoulder and spraycap (Saphired) is embossed with the brand name. The fragrance pump is a stock model from Silgan Dispensing.
For the secondary packaging, Guess opted for a black paperboard box (TPC) printed with a marble-like pattern. Embossing and varnishes combine to create depth, while silver cold foil is used for the text.
Composed by Takasago perfumer Linda Chinery, Uomo has notes of grapefruit, cardamom and lavender. The fragrance launched in May, priced at €37 (30ml), €48 (50ml) and €63 (100ml).
