Terre d’Hermès Eau Givrée is the latest addition to its Terre de Hermès fragrance franchise. This edition features frosted glass, a design detail intended to evoke an icy landscape.
Hermès has launched Terre d'Hermès Eau Givrée, an eau de parfum housed in a refillable flacon. The iconic Terre d'Hermès bottle (Verescence) is decorated with a frosted lacquer on the back and screenprinted on the facing. The flacon features a brushed aluminum cap and shoulder plate (g.pivaudran). Engraved on the top, the cap is fitted with a recycled PP insert that is also engraved.
The box (Model Kramp) is made with Gmund Lake Paper Plus, a pure cellulose substrate with an uncoated facing. Offset printed with UV inks and featuring pistol painted edges, the box is embellished with UV matte varnish and embossing on the brand logo. Reproducing a smooth and taut effect on an uncoated surface is a feat, Model Kramp explains, due to the irregularities and marbled effect that could occur.
Rather than the idea of “freshness being synonymous with a light scent”, Hermès House Perfumer Christine Nagel sought to compose a fragrance that would “express the intense freshness of land covered with ice.” The eau de parfum combines notes of citron, juniper berry and Timut pepper.
Terre de Hermès Eau Givrée comes in 50ml and 100ml formats, with a 125ml refill.
