Dior and Fendi Artistic Director Kim Jones has designed two decanters and a pair of sneakers for the Hennessy X.O x Kim Jones collection. The two decanters are sheathed in either a titanium or an aluminum casing.
After collaborations with the likes of architect Frank Gehry and Daniel Libeskind, LVMH-owned cognac purveyor Hennessy has partnered with a fashion designer for the first time. For the Hennessy X.O x Kim Jones collection, British Artistic Director Kim Jones designed the Hennessy X.O Masterpiece bottle, the Hennessy X.O Limited Edition, and the HNY Low sneakers.

"We are thrilled to embark on a new odyssey blending cognac-making and couture with Kim Jones, a creative master of our time," Laurent Boillot, Hennessy CEO, said in a statement.
Inspired by the art of cognac making, the sculptural Hennessy X.O Masterpiece is limited to just 200 pieces. The bottle is enveloped in a specially developed titanium casing that is 3D printed and hand finished. The folds on the surface evoke couture draping and the tissue paper in which Hennessy bottles used to be wrapped to protect their parchment paper labels.

The decanter, which was dipped in gradient colors to create an effect recalling the shades of the eaux-de-vie used to make the X.O, rests on an oak base in a nod to cognac barrels. A Kim Jones-designed fusil accompanies the bottle. The Masterpiece edition is priced at €25,000.

The collection also includes a Hennessy X.O Limited Edition "ready-to-wear" version of the Masterpiece. This time, the decanter is sheathed in a aluminum second skin, and is priced at €255.

The limited edition HNY Low by Kim Jones is a sneaker inspired by vintage-era basketball shoes. Manufacturerd in an LVMH-owned Italian shoe factory, the shoes are made of cognac-colored nubuck leather. The tonal grooved rubber sole is imprinted with cognac vines and the Hennessy X.O x Kim Jones logo.

Jones describes the shoes as “a glass of cognac in sneaker form”. The sneakers come in a cotton, drawstring dustbag nestled in an oak box. The box is said to revisit the barrels used to age cognac, and has a wavy top echoing the plateau of the the X.O Masterpiece in the collection. Launching this month, the sneakers retail at €650.
