For H24, Hermès’ first new major men’s fragrance since Terre d’Hermès, designer Philippe Mouquet dreamed up a lozenge-shaped refillable flacon with aluminum accents. For the EdT, Christine Nagel sought to move away from what she calls “the conventional woodiness of men’s scents”.
House perfumer Christine Nagel was inspired by the work of Hermès’ men’s artistic director Véronique Nichanian when creating the brand’s new scent, H24. Notes of clary sage and narcissus absolute are joined by rosewood essence and sclarene — the latter to evoke the aroma of hot irons as they press fabrics in the brand’s workshops.
Philippe Mouquet, the same designer behind the bottle for Terre d’Hermès, created a lozenge-shaped refillable flint glass flacon (Pochet du Courval) with “aerodynamic lines”. Adorned with an aluminum plate (g.pivaudran), glued onto the shoulders of the bottle at Pochet du Courval’s factory in Guimerville, the flacon is topped with a weighted aluminum cap (g.pivaudran) engraved with the brand name. The cap’s PP insert is also engraved.
H24 is screenprinted in emerald on the facing, while the legal notice on the base is pad-printed.
The EdT comes in a 100% recycled paper box in shades of gray and lime green.
H24 is launching on February 24.
