Guerlain (LVMH) has expanded its Orchidée Impériale Black ultra-premium skincare franchise with the launch of Symbiosérum. The serum’s refillable packaging sports a black enamel finish decorated with 24-carat gold.
Guerlain called on Limoges-based porcelain specialist Bernardaud to create the pack for Symbiosérum, its latest Orchidée Impériale Black incarnation. The handmade porcelain jar is lacquered in black enamel with the brand’s logo gilded in 24-carat gold.
The serum's packaging is refillable. Equipped with a courtesy cap, the pump bottle can be transformed into a travel vial for on-the-go use.
Guerlain highlights that Limoges porcelain has a zero-waste production process - the unfired offcuts can be reinjected into the production cycle. The material can also be recycled once fired, in the construction industry, for example.
Orchidée Impériale Black Symbiosérum is launching in November. It retails at €1,340, while the refill costs €1,020.
