Givenchy opts for glass and Desserto cactus leather for lip balm packaging

Givenchy opts for glass and Desserto cactus leather for lip balm packaging

Givenchy's Rose Perfecto Liquid Balm combines a glass bottle with a cap sheathed in cactus "leather".

In what it says is “a first in the world of make-up”, Givenchy (LVMH) opted for Desserto, a cactus leather from Mexican materials specialist Adriano Di Marti, for the cap of its Rose Perfecto Liquid Balm. (Desserto is part of LVMH’s La Maison des Startups accelerator program). Supplier Meiyume molded the covering material on the cap. The ABS cap (Meiyume) contains 30% PCR content, while the insert is in PP. The bottle (Verescence) is in glass.

Launched this April, Rose Perfecto Liquid Balm is the liquid version of Rose Perfecto Marbré. The product has a marbled appearance in the pack, with the formula becoming uniform upon application.
