The limited-edition bottle for Garnier’s Micellar Cleansing Water is made from low value waste transformed by Loop Industries into 100% recycled PET resin of virgin quality.
Through a pilot program with Canadian technology company Loop Industries, L’Oréal-owned Garnier has introduced a “100% upcycled bottle” (excluding the cap) for its micellar water.
The flacon is made from low value PET plastic and polyester fiber waste. Thanks to Loop Industries’ depolymerization process that utilizes low heat and no added pressure, the waste is converted into 100% recycled, virgin-quality Loop PET resin. Loop branding features on the packaging.
Garnier’s micellar water launched at Ulta stores in Canada this month.
