An airless pump integrating recycled plastic content used in conjunction with a refill pouch and glass jar

Designed to be reused with each new refill, the pump is specially developed to fit the constraints of the skincare pack’s glass jar and refill pouch. Thanks to a twist lock pump, no cap is required. Silgan Dispensing Systems’ Nea standard pump engine combines with a custom collar and custom insert. For the collar, injecting a 100% rPET piece with a fine engraving and a satin finish colored with a white master batch was a challenge. The engraving in the mold surface was used to achieve a “handcraft” look and feel. For the rPET, the supplier used recycled social plastic from Plastic Bank. The insert is made with 70% rPP with a white masterbatch: an “exclusive” source of rPP resulted in a white finish using a high concentration of recycled materials.

A suncare range revamp of five skus that leverage a twist-to-lock spray pump

Nuxe selected Aptar Beauty's PZ Twist Spray Pump for its Tanning Sun Oil SPF 10, SPF 30 & SPF 50 and Delicious Sun Spray SPF 30 & SPF 50 sun care products. Thanks to its twist-to-lock technology, the pump does not require an overcap. An audible click ensures that the pump is properly closed to avoid leakage. It is e-commerce capable and certified amazon ISTA-6. Made primarily from PP, the pearlescent gold pump has a large finger pad with soft-touch effect. It is fitted with Aptar Beauty’s PZ engine: integrating the twist-to-lock technology into the PZ range proved complex. A pre-compression spring delivers the formula in a “precise and uniform” cloud. The pump is paired with a PET bottle.
