Plastics industry trade show France Innovation Plasturgie (FIP) is opening its doors in Lyon early April. Innovative Material Days, an exhibition dedicated to new materials, will be a fixture at the event for the first time.
FIP - France Innovation Plasturgie is set to play host to more than 800 exhibitors when it opens its doors from April 5th to 8th at Lyon Eurexpo. The event brings together four exhibition areas: FIP, focused on technologies and services for industry; FIP Valorize, for plastics industry circular economy solutions; FIP Transform dedicated to converters, and IMD – Innovative Materials Days, a brand new section that willl spotlight novel materials.
Exhibitors in the IMD space include marine leather specialist ICTYOS, French start-up Carbiolice and Fil & Fab, which recycles used fishing nets to make its Nylo material. The area will also feature two exhibitions curated by the Cité du Design and plastics and composites federation Polyvia. A conference session on April 6th will see participants (Cité du Design, Green Fib, APM – Automotive Performance Materials, Polyvia) present materials with innovative properties.
Workshops are also on the agenda. These include a session with Gaultier Massio, Ecodesign Engineer at French organization Citeo, who will address the limitations of recycling plastic packaging. Start-up pitches, live demonstrations and visitor tours will be key features at the show, along with two awards ceremonies. The FIP Award recognizes the best supplier-customer collaboration around a product, mold or material, while Pitch Start-Up will reward the most innovative start-up in the plastics industry.
Organized by Infopro Digital subsidiary Idice, FIP – France Innovation Plasturgie is taking place alongside 3D Print, which is being held from April 5th-7th at Lyon Eurexpo.
