At a press event in Paris last month, French wine cooperative Estandon showcased its latest launches, including its Génération Estandon organic rosé. The brand has also rolled out Black Rosé, which comes in a black opaque bottle.

After its bottle borrowed from spirits for Ceux de 1906, French wine cooperative Estandon continues to shake up rosé packaging codes. The company’s Black Rosé comes in an opaque bottle (Saverglass) that is screenprinted black. The matte background contrasts with the brand name screen-printed in a glossy black, with additional touches of gold on the bottle. For the black screw closure with soft touch effect, the brand chose Amcor’s Stelvin Lux model.

“By packaging a rosé in an opaque black bottle we wanted to spark consumer curiosity,” the brand explains to Luxe Packaging Insight. “The wine's colorful hue surprises the consumer when poured into the glass.”

Estandon also recently unveiled Génération Estandon, a rosé housed in a bottle engraved the brand name on the facing and on the neck. The bottle was developed by design agency Terre Neuve and Verallia for Estandon’s range of organic wines. The lightweighted bottle weighs in at 600g, and is in flint glass with recycled content.

An adhesive label (Inessens) on the facing uses soft touch paper. With its chalkboard appearance, the label is embellished with gold hot-stamping and curved embossing. The aluminum complex capsule (Coliege Metalco) includes bio-based PE.
